Your water at Como Water cottages
To withdraw water at Como Acqua's booths, you need to have the specific card or download the MatiPay app on your smartphone.
Do you already have a card?
The oldest cards in circulation do not need to be replaced; they are functional and allow access to the service.
DO YOU NEED A NEW CARD?
Como Acqua tokens for water distribution are delivered free of charge to citizens who request them at the collection points.
WHERE CAN YOU PICK UP YOUR CARD?
The cards are distributed at:
- Como Acqua Service Desk in Cantù at Via Vittorio Veneto 10.
- Casetta Cantù - Piazzale CAI.
- Como Acqua counter in Lurate Caccivio.
NATURAL WATER: 2 CENTS/LITER
SPARKLING WATER: 4 CENTS/LITER
These rates are applied to all the cottages under management by Como Acqua in the provincial territory with a view to making the service homogeneous.
The cards can be recharged with credit cards or banknotes; instructions are posted at the cottages themselves.
DO YOU WANT TO USE THE APP?
The MatiPay app allows you to turn your smartphone into a virtual card for water dispensing, eliminating cash use and facilitating payment via digital wallet.
Here's how the MatiPay app works: once you've downloaded the app (free and available on the iOS and Android Store), filled in your personal details, and topped up your virtual wallet with the available options, you can dispense water by scanning the QR code on the dispenser unit with the app.
Following the change in management of the Water Houses and the consequent necessary re-coding of the cards, the residual credit present on the cards as of October 31, 2025, has been reset to zero for technical reasons related to the new management system.
A specific procedure has been activated for the refund of remaining amounts.
Who can request a refund?
All users with a card with remaining credit as of 10/31/25 are eligible to apply for reimbursement.
Refund methods vary based on the user's contractual position:
– Holders of a supply contract with Como Acqua.
The refund will be issued as a deduction on the first available bill. The Reimbursement Form A must be completed.
- Those who do not hold a supply contract with Como Acqua.
The refund will be issued via credit to the bank account (IBAN) indicated by the applicant. It is necessary to fill out Refund Form B.
