The financing, amounting to 5 million euros and with a duration of 6 years, is backed by SACE's SupportItalia Guarantee and will support the significant growth of the company led by Enrico Pezzoli.
Finlombarda, the financial company of the Lombardy Region, has signed a loan agreement with Como Acqua Srl for a total amount of 5 million euros and a duration of 6 years, backed by SACE's SupportItalia Guarantee.
The transaction will help support the steady growth of Como Acqua Srl, manager of the Integrated Water Service for the province of Como, and its multi-year investment plan.
“The initiative of the financial company of the Lombardy Region—states Massimo Sertori, regional minister responsible, among other things, for the Use of Water Resources—goes hand in hand with the support action long since initiated by the Lombardy Region for the development and improvement of the quality of the Integrated Water Service. In particular—Sertori continues—in the territory of the Optimal Territorial Area of Como, resources amounting to 7.4 million euros have been allocated, using funds from the “Lombardia Plan,” to finance 17 interventions with a total value of nearly 13 million euros, predominantly used for the optimization of the sewerage and purification segment.
“The water sector is undoubtedly strategic for our region's competitiveness and an asset to be enhanced. The transaction completed in favor of Como Acqua confirms our commitment alongside the Lombardy Region for sustainable development and efficient management of water resources that guarantees a quality service for the citizens and businesses of Lombardy, declared Andrea Mascetti, President of Finlombarda Spa.
“This operation confirms Como Acqua’s growth within the industry landscape, representing a concrete demonstration of confidence in the company’s reliability, seriousness, and capacity for planning and long-term vision in the management of the water service,” commented Eng. Enrico Pezzoli, President and CEO of Como Acqua Srl.
“Supporting local businesses in their growth processes represents one of the pillars of our INSIEME2025 Industrial Plan,” stated Antonio Frezza, Chief Marketing & Sales SME at SACE. “For this reason, we at SACE are proud to stand alongside Como Acqua in its development plans for the management of a precious resource for the well-being of the entire community.”.
