In the first half of 2025, the company continued to implement an ambitious planning strategy that includes, among other things, the district metering of networks, the upgrading of analysis laboratories, the adoption of digital solutions for infrastructure monitoring, and the continuous optimization of purification processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the Shareholders' Meeting \u2013 held on Wednesday, October 1st at the Provincial headquarters, Villa Gallia \u2013, the corporate structure consisting of the mayors took note of the Report on Economic and Financial Management as of June 30, 2025. The strategic vision is that of a Company capable of combining service efficiency with attention to the local area, promoting targeted interventions in every area served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In recent times, characterized by the violent wave of bad weather that hit the Como area, Como Acqua has been continuously engaged in the territory, managing dozens of interventions to restore normality, working to ensure the reactivation of the aqueduct, and the cleaning and repair of damaged networks. The emergency response activity, supported by internal staff and in collaboration with local administrations and Civil Protection, has made it possible to manage a complex emergency situation, restoring essential services to users in the shortest possible time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the opening of the Assembly, the President of Como Acqua, Laura Santin, showed and commented on some photographs of the severe damage caused by the flash floods that hit the municipalities and the Operator's facilities: \u00abA thank you is due to the Law Enforcement, the Fire Department, and the Civil Protection, with whom our technicians collaborated, as well as to the Mayors and Administrators, who are once again on the front line in the local area\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abThe strength of Como Acqua must lie in its ability to guarantee the continuity and quality of the service even in emergency conditions\u2014added the CEO of Como Acqua, Enrico Poliero\u2014. Facing and overcoming extraordinary events like those of recent days has demonstrated, once again, the human and professional value of our staff, the validity of the choices undertaken, and the need to invest with a strategic vision in infrastructure. We remain focused on the protection of water resources and the safety of the networks, aware that every intervention serves the communities. This is the direction in which we will continue to invest\u2014among innovation, resilience, and social responsibility\u2014to ensure a service that meets the expectations of the region.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Investments<\/strong><strong>\u202f\u202f<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the first half of the year, Como Acqua allocated over 18 million euros to projects throughout the provincial territory, aiming to strengthen the quality, safety, and resilience of water infrastructure. Activities for the district metering of the network continued, funded through the awarding of NRRP funds and essential for reducing water losses and for the precise control of flows. A major expenditure chapter concerned digitization and remote reading with the installation of new smart meters and remote monitoring systems, tools that enable proactive customer management and faster identification of critical issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Part of the investments was also directed toward upgrading the testing laboratories through the acquisition of new equipment and continuous compliance with accreditation standards, thereby further ensuring the safety and quality of the supplied water. Numerous infrastructural interventions then involved the maintenance and renewal of wells, reservoirs, and water treatment plants; in parallel, major works were carried out for the modernization and mapping of the sewage and purification networks, with a particular focus on energy efficiency and the reduction of environmental impact. A particularly significant aspect of the work program involves the opening of construction sites for the works intended to resolve the critical issues related to the underwater collector connected to the Como purification plant in the municipalities of Blevio and Torno, as well as the planned reconstruction of the Tavernola-Como deep-water sewage rising main in the Lario basin (a total financial commitment of 8.4 million euros, of which 2.7 million in 2025).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To cope with upcoming investments, the Company has obtained the disbursement of 15 million euros from specific financing lines, which is fundamental to accelerating already scheduled works and launching new projects: among these are cybersecurity upgrades, the strengthening of remote control systems, and actions for compliance with the new European directives on water service resilience. The operational commitment during the six-month period is also evident in the Company's ability to respond rapidly to damage caused by extreme weather events, a sign of constant attention to the needs of the communities served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Economic data and half-yearly growth<\/strong><strong>\u202f<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results approved by the Shareholders\u2019 Meeting confirm the effectiveness of these decisions. The Half-Year Report as of June 30 shows an EBITDA exceeding 12 million (+23% compared to June of last year) and positive operating cash flow of 8.3 million euros. Total investments made in the first six months reached 18.3 million euros (+19.38% compared to the same period in 2024), allocated to both infrastructure and technological innovation. The company thus remains well-capitalized and capable of meeting the sector\u2019s new challenges.\u202f<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Commission for the Analogous Control of Member Entities, through its periodic report presented to the members at the Shareholders' Meeting, favorably acknowledged the management status of the company, highlighting the quality of planning and the consistency between objectives and achieved performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, with regard to local and citizen requests, Como Acqua has intensified its customer support activities, improving the information and tools available to them. This commitment is reflected in the level of user satisfaction thanks to a reduction in service disruptions and improved communication transparency, according to the findings of the most recent customer satisfaction survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Aqua Seprio operation: rationalization and shared future<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting, the Mayors were called upon to vote on the merger by incorporation of Aqua Seprio Servizi S.r.l., a strategic step that will make the management of the integrated water service even more efficient in the municipalities of Mozzate, Carbonate, and Locate Varesino. The decision, approved unanimously, will propel Como Acqua toward provincial integrated management, fostering further economies of scale. The process will be completed with the vote of the City Councils of Aqua Seprio's shareholders, expected in the coming days. In the coming months, the merger deed will be signed in order to make it effective as of January 1, 2026. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>As Acqua continues on its path of growth, innovation, and sustainability for the Como area, with the goal of transforming investments into increasingly higher service standards and strengthening the public value of a fundamental
